Let us Help You and Your Dog

Working with a dog trainer isn't a sign that you have done something wrong or that you failed to properly manage your dog.  Many people have washing machines, some work perfectly, some would benefit from a little guidance on how to get best out of them and others desperately need the help of the washing machine repair man.

Get in Touch
Please get in touch for an initial conversation. We can then work out a mutually convenient time and date for a first appointment.

The use of the Devon Dog Training training paddock is strictly by appointment ONLY. We are based just outside Crediton, but we do not give out a physical address online for privacy reasons.

If you are lucky enough to be invited to Training Towers, you have either been very good or very bad, either way, we'll give you a What3Words address to get you here safely.

As the saying goes, the only thing you can get two dog trainers to agree on is what the third is doing wrong!

With so many conflicting training methods, who is right? From the e-collar ‘pushers’ at one end to the positive only ‘fluffy brigade’ at the other. How do you know what will be right for you and your dog? Each of the different methods will have its amazing success stories, it’s supporters and detractors. And all of them are completely committed and also just a bit wrong.

Dogs, just like children (and this is the only similarity!), need support to be the best that they can be. Showing them that they are loved, secure and looked after. But with this comes a responsibility of the dog, of what the owner needs in return. Those things aren’t free, so in return we expect our rules to be respected.

It’s a simple transaction between the dog and the owner; I give you all this and in return I expect that. With every good sale or transaction, both sides must get good value or one side has been cheated.

Simple honest dog training.
